As a Handyman at House Doctors, you are a key member of our team responsible for working on quality residential repairs and home improvement projects. You will build customer relationships and uphold our standard for excellent customer service and professionalism.

You have a strong background of skilled tradesman experience, and have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers. You are self-motivated, comfortable in fast-moving environments, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines.

Handyman experience a plus.

Daily Duties

You will complete small to medium repairs, light remodeling, home improvement, and specialty projects within times set by estimates and change orders
You will work alone on some tasks and with a team on others.
You will communicate with customers and supervisors about scope of work, any unforeseen developments found in the project, etc.
You will ensure the efficient use of time and materials.
Safety is important to House Doctors. You will take safety precautions to safely perform jobs, and comply with OSHA safety regulations.

Qualifications and Characteristics

Skills in a variety of categories such as carpentry, drywall patching and textures, small paint and stain jobs (1-2 rooms, accent walls, doors, cabinets, etc), light plumbing and electrical, flooring, door installation, deck repairs, and others.
3+ years of verifiable work experience in carpentry, drywall patching, and painting.
Own and maintain a basic selection of tools necessary to perform the work.
Must be a quick thinker, able to examine a problem situation and find an efficient resolution promptly and professionally while keeping the established timelines.
Must be able to communicate with customers and co-workers verbally and in writing, in English, in a courteous and professional manner.
Excellent customer service skills, an outgoing friendly personality, professional presentation, and appearance.
Goal-oriented self-starter and a team player who can expand the scope of work while generating additional customer referrals.
Able to work independently without supervision.
Must have a valid driver’s license with no major violations or accidents in the last 3 years.
Must be able to pass a background and drug check.
Must have reliable transportation

Compensation: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
